Investigating the Effect of the Tractor Drive System Type on Soil Behavior under Tractor Tires

To determine the effect of tractor driving system type on soil compaction and behavior a series tests was conducted using Goldoni 240 with power rate 30.8 kW included four similar tires at three different systems (4WD, rear-wheel drive (RWD) front-wheel (FWD)). evaluate these systems’ effects compaction, were moisture contents (10, 15 20% d.b.), tire inflation pressures (170, 200 230 kPa), speeds (1.26, 3.96 6.78 km/h).
